![]() ![]() I also understand this is a base model ar but I don't think that should matter. ![]() I read and understand that it's a better problem to have a tight fit then a loose one and that's understandable but can and will this cause issues down the road. It's almost like the lug on upper the pin goes thru doesn't line up with the hole on lower properly. I notice when putting it back together the pin freely and easily goes in about 3/4 in and then stops. Needs 2 or 3 strong hammer falls on punch to get it going. So I thought it may take a few breakdowns to get it worked in but after about 30 breakdowns trying to get it loose it's still as hard as 1st try. After taking the lower off the upper I tried pushing pin without the upper on and it smoothly pushed in and out. I oiled it down and let it sit a bit and finally beat the thing out. I ended up needing a punch and a hammer with a good bit of force to get it to even start to budge. ![]() In all videos and tutorials I've seen the pin can be pushed out of the receiver with just finger pressure but that was impossible with mine. There was a issue with the rear takedown pin. I finally picked up my sport from the store a few days ago and got a chance to tear down to inspect and clean/lube before first outing like senior members suggested on this forum. ![]()
